3 Notations About The Bush Family’s “Secret Plot”
Breitbart

1. What is the “Bush Exile” plot?

According to the Daily Mail, there are rumors of a "plot to end the so-called 'Bush Exile'" and retake control of the Republican Party from Donald Trump and his MAGA policies. A "shadow Republican Party" with deep connections across the country is reportedly waiting in the wings to assume control once Trump's presidency ends. While Bush is determined not to publicly criticize Trump, he may be willing to quietly help shape the party's long-term future behind the scenes.

2. What is motivating Bush’s potential involvement?

The effort is reportedly driven by former Bush officials and family members who still hold deep connections across the country. While Trump is currently dominant—with Vice President JD Vance having a "head start" for 2028—Bush allies believe there will be a "big open field" in the next presidential cycle. Former RNC Chairman Michael Steele has also urged Bush to use his voice to reshape the party.

3. Why does the Bush family want to intervene?

The Bush family views Trump’s "isolationist" policies as "destabilizing" and "dangerous for the sake of peace." George W. Bush has previously criticized Trump for lacking the "humility" necessary for leadership. The goal is not to publicly attack Trump now, but to quietly steer the party back toward traditional conservatism and international engagement after his second term concludes.
